Northwest Arkansas first Kava Bar opens with free concert

Fayetteville, AR - The band Guta will be playing a free concert tonight at 7 pm for the grand opening of northwest Arkansas' first Kava Bar off Dickson Street in Fayetteville. The doors opened today at CBD American Shamen + Kava Bar and Shaman Yoga and patrons were treated to free samples of both Kava and CBD.

Vince Sanders is the CEO and Founder of American Shaman

Founded a little over a year ago in Kansas City by Vince Sanders, CBD American Shaman is now one of the fastest growing franchises in the country with stores all over the country.

"We started franchising officially in April of 2018  so we're not quite a year in and we're about 400 stores. We are estimated that we will have about 1000 by the end of the year."

Vince says that Fayetteville was a great fit for a Kava Bar. " This is, I think, the right mentality. You've got a lot of open-minded free spirited people."

He believes that this new type of bar will appeal to people. "You know a lot of people anymore don't want to drink alcohol."

The bar sells drinks infused with Kava and CBD, both have relaxing properties that are non-addictive Vince says "it's not intoxicating. It's all natural and organic."

In addition, the facility also contains a yoga studio that will offer classes for both beginners and advanced students.

The grand opening continues tonight with a puppet show by Piggy and Craig and then a concert by Guta at 7 pm.
