The Northwest Arkansas Community College will host a ‘Crime Scene to Trial’ event starting on Tuesday morning.
The event will bring together prosecutors, law enforcement officers and other professionals to sharpen their skills on investigating crimes against children, according to a news release.
“The course provides detailed instruction in the investigation of a crime scene and how seemingly unimportant details can become critical at trial,” the news release states.
Participants will be learn more about interrogating child abuse suspects, photographing a crime scene and witness interviews. They will also get the chance to be a part of a crime scene investigation in the “mock house” at the center, according to the news release.
The training is presented by Gunderson National Child Protection Training Center (NCPTC) and will be held at the Melba Shewmaker Child Protection Training Center located on NWACC’s Campus in Bentonville.
