Emerging cellular technology was discussed in Fayetteville Friday.

A meeting was held in Fayetteville regarding 5G, an emerging cellular technology.

Officials and residents discussed specifically what 5G is, what it means for consumers and businesses, how it works and what it means for Fayetteville, according to Sean Kinney, who spoke at the Digital Inclusion Task Force event. 

The event also featured presentation on net neutrality. That presentation was focused on the history of net neutrality, how it’s applied in various countries, the current state of net neutrality in the U.S. and how net neutrality impacts internet users, according to Kinney.
