Officials Identify Teens Killed in Crash; One from Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA)– School officials have identified the two teenagers who died in a fatal car crash over the weekend.

One of the boys was from Fayetteville.

The Fayetteville School District has identified the Fayetteville teen as sophomore George Robert Milawski, or as friends called him, “Buddy”.

The second teen killed in the crash was Kyle Daugherty of Eureka Springs. Both were passengers at the time of the accident.
Daugherty attended Eureka Springs High School and worked at a local ice cream shop.
The owner of the shop, Benjamin Sharum, says Kyle was like a son to him, and he’ll never forget his smile.
Sharum said, “There’s not a day that went by that he didn’t tell me he loved me and that he appreciated what I did for him. He was a very humble kid.”
Inside the vehicle that crashed, there were six minors.
Corporal Dallas Brashears of the Fayetteville Police Department said, “We take a lot of things into account as for the type of driving. Was everyone seat-belted in? Did they have any type of restricted, learners or intermediate drivers license? That also plays into account.”
FPD declined to comment on the accident, but says legally, there can be any amount of people traveling in a car, just so long as they each have a seat belt and the driver has a valid license.
Cpl. Brashears said he most commonly sees young adults riding in cars with more people than there are seatbelts.
