Pastor Ronnie Floyd May Leave Cross Church After 33 Years

Senior Pastor Ronnie Floyd announced today (March 31) he has been nominated for the presidency of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Executive Committee.

The full Executive Committee will consider Floyd’s nomination on Tuesday, April 2.

Pastor Floyd states in the video below that if the SBC Executive Committee confirms him as President and CEO, he will leave Cross Church.

He said he will officially announce next Sunday (April 7) when his final day would be. 

Ronnie Floyd has been the pastor of Cross Church for 33 years. 

Cross Church took to Facebook a message from Senior Pastor Ronnie Floyd with the caption: 

Dr. Ronnie Floyd, our Senior Pastor, shared a very important personal word with our Cross Church family this morning. Very important that all members and regular attendees hear these words. Pray for God’s leadership and direction for Dr. Ronnie and Jeana Floyd, their family, and our entire church family.
