Pea Ridge Police Captain Resigns Amid Inappropriate Text Message Accusation

A Pea Ridge police captain accused of sending inappropriate text messages has submitted his resignation from the Pea Ridge Police Department.

Lt. Michael Lisenbee, public information officer for Pea Ridge police, said Friday that Capt. Eric Lyle submitted his resignation.

“For personal and health reasons, I am submitting my resignation to be effective January 28, 2019,” Lyle said in his resignation. 

Pea Ridge city officials announced Thursday that Lyle was under investigation for sending inappropriate text messages.

Lyle has been with Pea Ridge police since 2011.
