FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The new and improved Peace at Home family shelter is officially open.
The organization celebrated the expansion, which added more than 3,000 square feet of living space.
It features four large family rooms, a second laundry room and two additional sitting areas. It will also now hold nearly 60 beds.
Workers say the expansion was necessary to help families in our area.
The organization anticipates sheltering about 100 additional victims of domestic violence and children each year after the expansion.
If you or someone you know needs to reach the shelter, call the emergency crisis line at 877-442-9811.
