On February, 9, people braved the cold and jumped into Beaver Lake, to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Arkansas.
“Just knowing that you are supporting these amazing athletes and their families by helping them with the costs of traveling and equipment and everything,” Special Olympics Arkansas Volunteer, Elizabeth Grant said. “We are giving back to the community and supporting and helping them every step of the way.”
The Special Olympics Arkansas provides year-round sports training for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Fundraisers, like Polar Plunge, keep training, equipment, and competitions free of charge for their participants.
