FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — Three GOP candidates are vying to represent the people of Senate District 16, and they all came on today’s podcast.

Breanne Davis, Robert Bailey, and Luke Heffley all spoke with KNWA/KFTA to discuss their campaigns.

Davis is a member of the Russellville School Board, Bailey is a firearms instructor and Heffley works for Arkansas Tech University.

The primary is set for February 13, and the general election is set for May 22.

The seat has been vacant since its previous occupant, Greg Standridge, R-Russellville, died in November 2017.

A Democrat, Teresa Gallegos of Russellville, is also running, but she’s unopposed in the primary so far. She’s welcome to come on the show at a later date.

KNWA/KFTA do not endorse any candidates and will post similar articles for others who enter this race.
