Police Continue the Search To Identify Suspect in Springdale Shooting


One person is confirmed dead from a possible shooting in Springdale.

Nineteen year old Javier Nicolas- Rodriquez crashed into a home after the apparent shooting

According to Springdale Police, gunshots were reported around three o’clock Thursday morning in the 16 hundred block of Pioneer Street. 

After crashing his car into the front of a resident’s home Rodriquez was found dead with an apparent gun shot wound. 

One neighbor said he heard the gunshots, and came outside to see the victim’s car crashed into the home. 

Springdale Police have been on the scene all Thursday afternoon searching for any evidence. While they still do not have a suspect, Captain Derek Hudson said law enforcement is working multiple leads and are piecing the events together.

“They have uncovered more details that they’re following up on, it’s law enforcement sensitive at this point,” said Springdale Police Captain Derek Hudson.

Captain Hudson also said they don’t believe the public is in danger. Springdale Police ask anyone that has information to call their criminal investigation division at 479-750-8139.
