PRAIRIE GROVE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Prairie Grove police are investigating a homicide after a shooting Thursday night.
Police said they responded to calls of gunshots and a man running through backyards around 10:30 p.m. That is when they found 40-year-old Cedric King dead in his home on the 1000 block of Sundowner Ranch Avenue.
Cecedrice Poole, 39, was arrested after he fled the home by car speeding down a neighborhood and crashing into parked cars, Capt. Jeff O’Brien said. He then ran through backyards and police caught him in a nearby field and took him to hospital for minor injuries. He’s now being held at Washington County Detention Center.
Capt. O’Brien said he hasn’t been charged yet.
