(KARK) The human leg found in the Arkansas River on December 5 matches the DNA of a missing North Little Rock woman, police say.
The North Little Rock Police Department said the DNA matches that of Shequenia Burnett, 38, reported missing on January 15, 2014.
The leg was found near the 7000 block of Rebsamen Park Road (Murray Lock and Dam) in the Arkansas River. It was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, and on Thursday, the lab notified the North Little Rock Police Department of the DNA match.
Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to contact the North Little Rock Police Department at (501) 758-1234.
