UPDATE: Police Release Details on Kidnapping Suspect

UPDATE (as of 3/5/2018): Angela McGarrah is being held at the Washington County Jail on a $7,500 bond. 

UPDATE (as of 2:15 p.m.): Fayetteville police have identified the kidnapping suspect as 35-year-old Angela Marie McGarrah of Fayetteville.

She was arrested at 2141 Hwy. 264 E. at 12:45 p.m.

She was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, theft of a motor vehicle and third degree endangering the welfare of a minor.

UPDATE (as of 12:10 p.m.):  Arkansas Highway Police located the vehicle and the child in Benton County around 11:50 a.m.  The girl was unharmed.  A suspect is in custody.  Police do not believe the girl's mother knows the suspect.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA)--  Fayetteville Police are investigating the kidnapping of a 4-year old girl Friday morning.

Police say Kaylinn Johnson was asleep in the back seat of the vehicle, which her mother left running while she ran inside a residence.  The vehicle was stolen in the 1300 block of S. Washington Ave. around 10:30 a.m.

Sgt. Tony Murphy with the Fayetteville Police Department says the vehicle is a white 2004 Ford Escape with the rear bumper hanging off.  License is an Arkansas plate, 061 RSZ.  The suspect is a white female, heavy set, wearing a brown hoodie and red shirt.

The vehicle was last seen on Butterfield Coach Rd. near Harp's in Springdale, headed north at a high rate of speed.  Police consider this a felony kidnapping case.
