Police across the country are seeing a surge in support following last week’s fatal shooting in Dallas.
One man from Maryland, told his local police officers, he is troubled by recent events and wanted to say thank you. So, Curtis Bean picked up the phone and called police.
“I just wanted to call briefly just to say thank you all for what you do,” said Bean during his call.
“If there’s any officers over this way, absolutely please have ’em stop by for a second. I can give em a cold water, shake their hand, say a quick prayer for them, send them on their way.” Bean says he understands that it is a hard time in our country and that he appreciates what officers are doing.
He isn’t the only one showing his appreciation. Other police officers are reporting things like restaurant tabs being picked up by strangers. The Arlington Police took to Twitter with a thank you note.
