If you were in Fayetteville Tuesday afternoon, you may be one step closer to a Powerball jackpot.
The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery gave away 100 free Powerball tickets on Dickson Street Tuesday afternoon.
The ASL also joined in on the march madness fun by challenging guests to shoot some hoops for a chance to win lottery swag and prizes. Since 2009, the ASL has funded 302,000 scholarships for students, totaling about $708 million.
“It’s a lot of money and we would love it if someone in Arkansas could win,” said Kara Lee-Ford, campaign coordinator for Arkansas Scholarship Lottery. “When jackpots get really high it actually gives more to our proceeds for scholarships.”
The drawing will be held Wednesday at 9:59 p.m.
