President Trump Announces Short-Term Deal to End Government Shutdown

President Donald Trump has announced a short-term deal to reopen the government.

“In a short while, I will sign a bill to reopen the government for three weeks until Feb. 15,” President Trump said in the Rose Garden. “I will make sure that all employees receive their back pay very quickly or as soon as possible.”

The agreement will last three weeks and will let congressional leaders continue to talk about security on the border.
