FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — A group that is pushing for an amendment to allow casinos in Arkansas is suing Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge.
The suit was filed yesterday after Rutledge rejected Driving Arkansas Forward’s ballot measure proposal for a fourth time.
State law says any proposed amendment must be approved by the attorney general before attempting to collect signatures.
Now Driving Arkansas Forward is directly petitioning the Arkansas Supreme Court for an accelerated consideration of its amendment.
