Randell Shelton Jr., Co-Defendant of Jon Woods, Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison

Randell Shelton Jr., a co-defendant of former State Senator Jon Woods, was sentenced to 6 years in federal prison on Thursday. He has also been ordered to pay $660,698 in restitution. 

Shelton, a professional consultant, was found guilty on May 3, 2018 on 12 of 15 charges including fraud and corruption for his role in a kickback scheme involving Woods and Ecclesia College. 

Woods was sentenced to 18 years and 4 months in prison on Sept. 5.

His full term is 220 months and 120 months will be served concurrently. Woods was also ordered to pay $1.6 million in restitution and $1,500 in court fines.
