Razorback football player accused of public intoxication and fleeing police

A linebacker with the Razorbacks is facing multiple charges after a Saturday night out.

Fayetteville police arrested 19-year-old Cooper Lucas for minor in possession of alcohol, public intoxication and fleeing police. 

An arrest report says Lucas tried to run from officers. When he was finally caught, he smelled of alcohol and admitted he’d been at a party.

Lucas, who was held on a $900 bond, was released from jail on Saturday, May 4, at 4:30 p.m.

He has a court hearing on June 24, 2019.

Lucas, a freshman, did not play during the 2018-19 season.
