FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — Thousands of Razorback fans are expected at the first game of the season on Saturday, September 1, and with the crown comes abnormal traffic. Knowing where to park is one way to ensure everyone gets to the stadium in a safe and timely manner.
Parking is available around campus, but for those parking in lots south of the stadium, it is recommended to come into campus off I-49 from exit 60 for Razorback Road, or exit 62 for Martin Luther King Boulevard. If parking north of the stadium, exit on Garland or exit 67A.
Captain Gary Crain of the University of Arkansas Police Department said patience will be key when navigating around the stadium on game day.
“We ask fans to show up early, be very patient, take their time. There will be thousands and thousands of pedestrians, traffic will be slow but everyone can get to the game and see the kick off if they want.”
Razorback Road and Stadium Drive will be open to northbound traffic, but will be closed off at Meadow Street. Several streets will either close or turn into one ways before the game. For more information about game day traffic, click here.
