The Red Cross is equipping Northwest Arkansas homes with smoke alarms.

The Red Cross is installing hundreds of free smoke alarms for families. 

The Red Cross is installing smoke alarms Friday in Lowell from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in Bentonville on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The local Red Cross responded to nearly three hundred home fires just last year. 

Anyone who needs a smoke alarm throughout Northwest Arkansas are asked to register online at Individuals without web access can call (479) 633-8330.
