FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA)– Monday morning we had a mix of rain and sleet, and this afternoon we started seeing flakes of snow. But, as of six p.m., it does not look like the snow has started sticking on the roads.
Monday night faces dropping temperatures, which could cause snow to stick and the roads to become slippery.
While road crews are off for Veteran’s Day, Washington County Attorney Brian Lester said his team is ready to deploy at any moment to treat the roads.
He said road crews have trucks ready with material larger than sand and smaller than gravel that they will release on any dangerous surfaces.
If you see a slick spot that you think needs to be addressed, Lester said to either call the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, or non-emergency 911.
