The man accused of killing three-year-old Acen King in Little Rock last November will be in court Monday afternoon.
Gary Holmes turned himself in about three weeks after the toddler’s death, which put Arkansas in the national spotlight. Holmes fired a gun while driving and says the bullet hit the toddler.
In April, a mental evaluation was requested for the 33 year old. A supervising psychologist reported it was unsuccessful, with Holmes being quiet, and passive aggressive, so further evaluations were requested.
Holmes is facing first degree murder charges, dropped from capital murder, along with a terroristic act and possession of fire arms. He’s expected in court at 1:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
