Rogers Becomes Rogers Rock City For Amp Performance

News

Kiss is just the latest act in list of big names coming to the Walmart Amp.

We’ve recently seen other big names like Blink 182, Matchbox 20, and Brad Paisley which draw huge crowds. We’ve also seen other acts like Travis Scott which ended up causing an incident resulting in multiple injuries.

So how does the Amp make sure concert goers are safe? According to Jennifer Wilson with the Walton Arts Center, the Amp plans on making sure weapons and other dangerous object are not taken into the venue. Wilson says,  “We’ve started wanding for all of the concerts. We started that with Matchbox 20 and we’ll continue that just moving into the new season, so that’s probably the one thing that people need to be aware of. We are wanding everyone, so it may take a little big longer to get into the venue.” Wanding begins at six o’clock when the gates open.

Wilson adds, some on-stage special effects require an additional special run-thru to make sure cocnert goers remain safe. She says, “Because there are some pyrotechnics involved. There are some other things that KISS is doing that we’re kind of taking some extra steps and just doing some extra practice, so everyone is aware of what’s going on. But other thant that, it’s going to be a great rock concert, traditional, epic KISS.”

Although the tickets say music starts at 7:30 P.M., Wilson says the music will not start until 8:00 P.M.
