Rogers GATE Students Learn About Cyber Security

News

Rogers students got a lesson on cyber security and internet safety Wednesday.

Sixth graders in the Rogers Reach Program for Gifted and Talented Students worked with Homeland Security.

They learned what it takes to investigating cyber crimes and how to combat them.

“I think it’s really important that they are exposed to this kind of training, just for a sense of general awareness and security. That way they know how to keep themselves safe,” said Candice Duncan, teacher for Rogers Public Schools.

The program was part one of a two-part forensics program that Reach students are learning.
