ROGERS, Ark. (KFTA) — Some elementary students in Rogers learned skills to become future leaders.
It was all part of the ”In It to Win It” inspired leadership day at Eastside Elementary School.
Teachers behind the program said the skills will not only empower the students to make good choices and habits in school but later on in life as well.
“It’s where we take our kids and we teach them what we call leadership skills, but they are really life skills, and we do that by developing the seven habits of highly successful people into a way that kids can understand it,” said Buffy Scherer, a teacher.
Eastside Elementary has promoted this program for more than five years now.
