ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA) — The Rogers New Technology High School is launching its Community in Action program to engage local experts and partners in the school.
The program officially kicked off Wednesday with the school looking at ways to do community partnerships differently by hosting interns and utilizing student talents.
Dr. Lance Arbuckle is the school principal and said the program will introduce students to life after school.
“This is the way our kids learn because we know this is the way learning happens in the adult world and so if we’re turning 14 year olds into adults,” Arbuckle said. “Then we have to ensure that they are able to learn in the adult world.”
The Rogers School District’s new tech high uses project-based learning, technology and learner engagement to create its special learning environment.
