Rogers Teen Arrested in Connection to Murder at Super 8 Motel

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — A suspect is in custody in connection to a murder investigation in Bentonville.

Walter James Bryan, 18, of Rogers, was arrested early Saturday morning for 1st degree murder, aggravated robbery, intimidating a witness, and tampering with physical evidence.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 11:40 a.m., Bentonville Police received a call about an unattended death at the Super 8 Motel on 2301 SE Walton Blvd, Bentonville.

When officers arrived, a deceased adult male was found with a gunshot to the head.

The male was identified as Tyler Scott Garska, 22, of Green Forest, Arkansas.

The investigation determined that an altercation and subsequent robbery altercation occurred between Bryan and Garska.

Bryan was arrested in Fayetteville for the warrant, and transported to Benton County Jail, awaiting a formal bond hearing.

He was also in possession of a stolen firearm at the time of his arrest.
