Safety Awareness Promoted at U of A

The University of Arkansas’ student body is receiving an education in safety awareness.

The Associated Student Government is hosting Safety Week. The event is dedicated to raising campus safety awareness.

The annual event is being held every day through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Arkansas Union Mall, according to an announcement on the University of Arkansas’ website. 

All students are invited to attend and participate. The events are free, but students are asked to swipe their ID card for assessment purposes.

The scheduled events include:

  • Monday, Feb. 18 — Safe Ride – Safe Ride
  • Tuesday, Feb. 19 — Scooter Safety – Sigma Nu, Scoot Tribe
  • Wednesday, Feb. 20 — Campus Carry – UAPD
  • Thursday, Feb. 21 — Crosswalk and Driving Safety
  • Friday, Feb. 22 — Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Day
