#SaluteTheBadge: Ben Snodgrass

Firefighter. First responder. Volunteer. Board member. Small business owner. Just a few of the titles for Ben Snodgrass. Ben Snodgrass won’t be swayed by the compliments from his fellow fire fighters, or from others in his community,
“Not only is he an excellent fire fighter and paramedic, but he recently joined the board here at Souls Harbor over the last year,” said Rachel Cox, Souls Harbor NWA Executive Director. “He started this whole love for the community through service.
That service? Providing clean sheets for the men at Souls Harbor through his business, Olive Street Laundry.
“He decided that he wanted to treat people with dignity, those who have minimal, those who have been able to come in and have a bed and be able to have clean sheets now on a weekly basis. It’s a huge dignity booster for the community.
Also at Souls Harbor an orchard in honor of Ben’s son who passed away a few years ago. This garden bares more than produce – it’s a reminder of Ben’s continued service to the Soul’s Harbor community.
“Not only has he been the first call for help for a lot of people in our community, but he also has been able to maintain mentoring relationships with those who are continuing to improve their lives,” said Cox.
Ben makes NWA better not just through his service, but also in his job as a first responder.
Brent boydston/fire chief “Ben is very compassionate about what he does. As a paramedic, he’s compassionate, and a go getter,” said Bentonville Fire Chief Brent Boydston.
Chief says Ben is committed to caring for those around him, and serving our community through many avenues.
