FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) – In Springdale, thousands of people across the area got an early Christmas surprise on Thursday.
The Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas began its first day of handing out angel tree gifts to more than 2,000 kids.
A total of 2,200 tree gift tags will be filled this year.
In addition to gift cards, toys and bicycles, Tyson Foods has partnered with the Salvation Army, and over 7,000 frozen chickens will be delivered along with the gifts.
