Snow hit early on Saturday, January 19, in parts of Arkansas. Temps stayed in the low double-digits — 20 degrees in the morning.
As for the rest of the afternoon, the snow moves out and the cold lingers along with windy weather, according to our Meteorologist Rick Katzfey.
One family pet in Bethel Heights, Mr. Pickles, was out early enjoying the cold weather on his own accord. The Bateman family said he has a personal doggie door and chose the outdoors for a bit!
Minor accidents were reported around Fayetteville.
On Dickson Street in front of George’s Majestic a car ran up over the sidewalk, according to a Facebook post from Kelly Richardson.
Another driver reported that Harmon Road was reportedly really slick to drive on heading north off Hwy. 16 and W Wedington Drive.
Elm Springs resident Mary Bowman said she saw a car slide off the road and hit a fire hydrant by the DoubleTree Hotel.
