PEA RIDGE, Ark. (KFTA) — The hunt continues for another person who went missing over a decade ago and is linked to officer Cerilla Doyle.
Back in 2006, Doyle was the responding officer to a call reporting 15-year-old April Andrews was missing.
Andrews was last seen getting into a white pick up truck outside of her parents’ Pea Ridge apartment. Doyle disappeared two years later.
Although the Benton County Sheriffs Office officials said these two cases are not related, the family of Andrews said the discovery of Doyle’s remains provides a hope they, too, will get some answers.
“My first thoughts were now that they found her, the police officer, is it a possibility that they will find April? Because she was the officer investigating Aprils disappearance and it was too much of a coincidence that she disappeared after that,” said Tonya Washburn, April Andrews’ sister.
There have been no updates in the search for April Andrews.
But the family member say they will continue to work closely with detectives to find out what happened to their little sister.
