Searcy County: Buffalo National River flooding

More than 11 campers in Grinder’s Ferry along the Buffalo River have been moved to higher ground because of rising water. The Searcy County Sheriff says the water started rising around 3 a.m. Friday, June 7.

The campground is located along Highway 65 north of Marshall. Rescue crews are now checking out access points to see if they can find anyone else who might need to move.

A viewer near Flippin tells us they’ve received more than five inches of rain, while other viewers said they have gotten up to four inches.
