FORT SMITH, Ark. (KNWA) — The Sebastian County Hope Humane Society is in danger of having to put several animals down if it doesn’t get more funding.
The shelter said it’s in the middle of a major cash flow crisis.
While it prides itself on a no-kill policy, more than 100 animals will be killed if no solution is found.
To help with the problem, a large adoption event for the River Valley shelter is scheduled at the end of the month in Fayetteville.
The Hope Humane Society is the largest no-kill shelter in Arkansas.
