U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) held an oversight hearing to examine the implementation of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ electronic health record modernization.
Senator Boozman is the chairman of the Senate Appropriations Military Construction, Veterans Affairs and Related Agencies Subcommittee.
The VA is in the first year of a 10 year and $16 billion project to update the electronic health records. This would allow better coordination with the Department of Defense and serve veterans better.
