Razorback Recovery Collects Unused Food During Walmart Week

News

The Razorback Food Recovery is distributing unused food from the Walmart Week events for the third year.

University of Arkansas volunteers will help distribute the food from Tuesday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The unserved food will go to Lifesource International, 7 Hills Day Center, the House of Hope Mission Center and the Salvation Army.

Chartwell Dining Service workers will collect the unused food after meals and store them in a refrigerator truck donated by Tyson Food’s.

The purpose of the project is to reduce food wasted and feed the hungry.
