Siloam Springs Man Sends Minor to Hospital Following DWI Crash

The Siloam Springs Police Department arrested a man following a crash on Thursday, January 3.

Siloam Springs Police and Fire responded to a call of a traffic accident at the intersection of Highway 412 and Main Street in Siloam Springs. Officers arrived and located a vehicle that was overturned and submerged in water, according to a Siloam Springs Police Department press release.

Officers located one man outside of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Michael Guest, 38.

Guest advised that a juvenile was still inside the submerged vehicle. Personnel entered the water and were able to move the vehicle onto its side and remove the juvenile from the vehicle, according to police.

Guest was transported to the Siloam Springs Regional Hospital where he was treated and released. The juvenile was also transported to the Siloam Springs Regional Hospital then transported to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. The juvenile’s status is currently unknown.

Guest was taken into custody after being released from the hospital. He is facing charges of driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Guest is currently in the Benton County Jail and has no bond.
