The last day of the sixteenth annual Canned Food Campout kicked off Saturday, hosted by the non-profit, LifeSource International.
The event raises goods and food for LifeSource, a non-profit that helps people in need here in Northwest Arkansas.
The organization is working to make 400 Thanksgiving boxes next week and are asking the community for things like canned fruit, canned sweet potatoes, and instant potatoes.
“It’s our friends,it’s our family, it’s our neighbors. And that’s what lifesource does, it helps our neighbors to try to get into a better place,” said Executive Director of LifeSource International Jimmie Conduff.
Conduff also said they need things outside of canned goods–like turkeys and hams.
