FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) – Special Olympics Arkansas held a tournament for a couple of sports on Friday, right here in Northwest Arkansas.

A total of 32 teams and more than 300 athletes from around the state came to play in the floor hockey tournament at the Jones Center in Springdale.

Irving Humphrey, with Special Olympics Arkansas, said events like these may seem small, but they mean the world to those who get to compete.

Special Olympics Arkansas is always looking for volunteers as well. Humphrey went on to say that once you volunteer, you’ll stay forever.
