Local students interested in TV, film and photography are getting some hands on experience and keys to success at the Spring Creek Festival at The Jones Center in Springdale.
The event gives high school students, who may not know how to pursue a career in those fields, resources and connections with colleges and businesses. Students also participate in on-site competitions, showing off their skills to judges and their peers.
“This is their festival where they get to come and tell stories, they get to flex their digital storytelling muscle. They get to show their creativity,” festival founder and manager, Trent Jones said.
“And its a family. You get to see everybody here and realize that there is a clear pathway to being able to tell stories in our community.”
The Spring Creek Festival continues Thursday and Friday. Click HERE for more information.
