The community got together in Springdale on Saturday to break bread over spicy recipes.
The annual salsa fest event, organized by students at Har-Ber High School, was a showing of cultural diversity.
Seven different restaurants in the area offered its salsa recipes for participants to try and judge, but the goal of the event was for people to understand and see for themselves how different we all are.
“We have to have diversity here or else nothing else will get accomplished, we have to have conflicting ideas so we can find the perfect ideals to move our community along,” said Trent Arney, a senior at Har-Bar High School.
Students with the National Honor Society at Har-Ber high made shirts to help generate attention to this event.
