SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KNWA) — Springdale police have arrested a man accused of felony first-degree battery.

Dusty Gibson was headed to a home on East Emma Avenue in Springdale Sunday night to check on a friend who lived with the accused, 24-year-old Mitchel Arnold.

Arnold told police he was sleeping when he heard a car pull into the driveway and saw Gibson.

Arnold reportedly stabbed Gibson, although he told officers he does not remember the altercation.

Gibson was sent to Northwest Medical Center.

Arnold’s bond has been set at $5,000.
