Springdale School District is one of five in Arkansas to be selected for a new education program.
Forward Arkansas combines the power and influence of parents, teachers, city leaders, and businesses to help students graduate prepared for the future.
Forward Arkansas leaders met with parents and school staff to explain the vision for the project which includes some big goals for Arkansas.
“We have a very aggressive goal. And its to close an achievement gap in a generation,” Kenneth W. Jones of Forward Arkansas said.
“Getting our graduates career ready and college ready meshes beautifully with what we’ve been working on,” Superintendent Springdale Schools Jim Rollins said.
