Springdale students get special look at work trucks

News

Trucks of all shapes and sizes visited a Springdale elementary school for a lesson on career options.

Our very own KNWA news truck made an appearance alongside fire trucks, garbage trucks and a Black Hills Energy truck.

Knapp Elementary School hosted the career fair for kindergartners and first and second graders.

It was an effort to showcase different opportunities in the workforce.

“We’re hoping that they see there’s all kinds of different careers they can have that can involve vehicles so they’ll know about some vehicles they’ve never been exposed to before and things that they might want to be when they grow up,” said Carla Tate, elementary school counselor.

The elementary hosts the career fair every year.
