News

DECATUR, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — After a line of severe storms passed through Northwest Arkansas Saturday night, KNWA/Fox 24 viewers reported structure damage in Decatur.

The images below were sent in to KNWA/Fox 24 by Decatur Mayor Bob Tharp.

Mayor Tharp says that in spite of the significant damage, no one was hurt.

“Last night straight line winds took the roof off of the Jehova Shamma church here in Decatur. 297 E Roller Avenue, corner of 4th street and Highway 102 (Roller). No one was hurt. They were in service at the time of the storm,” Tharp said, “Substantial water damage. I am confident they would appreciate our support as they repair the building. Thanks to our FD first responders last night and their assistance.”
