It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Crystal Bridges latest exhibition!
“Men of Steel, Women of Wonder” examines an art world response to Superman and Wonder Woman ranging from their depression era origins to today’s contemporary artist interpretations.
The exhibition features over 70 paintings, photographs, installations, videos and more by over 50 artists.
“These artists are thinking about how these are fantastic points of access for people. So you can tackle really big issues, large political issues and social issues, using these characters, and it helps you along,” said Alejo Benedetti, assistant curator of contemporary art at Crystal Bridges.
The exhibit will be on view starting this Saturday through April 22.
Tickets are available for $12 and are free for members and kids 18 and younger.
