A local business owner was attacked on Tuesday, June 7, in what he calls a hate crime.

The owner of Odyssey Tattoo in Bentonville was part of a brawl in which four men were cited for disorderly conduct for fighting by the Rogers Police. Two of these men claim the fight broke out because of the owner’s sexual orientation

Odyssey employees rallied around their boss and held a fundraiser on Monday to help pay the bills.

The shop designed various small tattoos for customers to choose and get done, and 100 percent of the proceeds from the day went toward the owner’s medical expenses.
