The City of Siloam Springs announced the Board of Directors approved an official Street and Sidewalk Master Plan.
The plan lists out the conditions of the streets needing to be repaired as well as when it will happen.
There are 114 miles of streets in the City, according to the news release.
“This plan addresses the condition of each along with a rating matrix. The street ratings range from five being excellent condition, four being good, three being fair, two being critical and one being lost or poor,” the news release states.
The plan will also address sidewalks, and there are around 57 miles of sidewalk in the city, according to the news release.
The targeted area will be from Dogwood to Hico streets and from Cheri Whitlock to Jefferson Street, according to the news release.
The city said the area was evaluated in October 2017 by Precision Safe Sidewalks.
“Due to the number of repairs that are needed in the described area and the cost associated with those repairs, it was decided to focus on this area for the sake of the report. More areas will be added later when more sidewalks are assessed,” the news release states.
