The Jones Center, 922 E. Emma Ave. Springdale is hosting its second annual Indoor Triathlon and its fourth annual six-week Triathlon Training Challenge as part of its fitness programs.
The Jones Center’s second annual Indoor Triathlon is on Saturday, March 9.
The Jones Center Indoor Triathlon is a swim, bike, and run event all taking place inside the walls of The Jones Center.
Participants will have 10 minutes to swim, 20 minutes to bike, and 15 minutes to run in order to log as many miles as possible.
“The Jones Center Indoor Triathlon is the perfect event for someone to try their very first triathlon and for a seasoned triathlete to kick off the season,” said Recreation Coordinator at The Jones Center, Meredith Cupp.”Our 9-lane lap pool and world-class fitness center are the prime setups for an Indoor Triathlon in Northwest Arkansas.”
Participants must be 15 and older.
Pricing is $20 right now, but after February 1, the price will increase.
To help those interested, The Jones Center offered a 6-Week Triathlon Training Challenge leading up to this event.
The challenge started Saturday, January, 26 and goes until Friday, March 8.
Participants are given 6 weeks to log the mileage of an Ironman Triathlon: 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and a 26.2-mile run.
“The Triathlon Training Challenge provides a simple six-week program that works for any level of participant and includes clinics with individual support from some of the best coaches in the area,” said Fitness Coordinator at The Jones Center, Casi Shanks.
